    Any suggestions on how i learn all of the double plays and when to throw home from the outfield or play cutoff and when to let it roll to home and all that stuff?

    • @JaimeBaseball
      @JaimeBaseball 3 роки тому

      Well, there’s a lot that can happen at any given time. But if you have specific questions just post them here and I’ll answer them. As for when you throw home… 1) any runner on 2nd, base hit to the OF, throw home on a line and then it’s the catcher/cut offs decision whether or not to relay or cut it. 2) any runner on 1st and a double is hit, look to throw home…again throw on a line to your cut off man (probably SS or 2B). 3) any runner on 3rd and fly ball hit at you or in front…look to can him at the dish! Hope that helps!

    Honestly didn’t understand how you ran things. Couldn’t see the whole infield at once in any of the shots to figure it out. Couldn’t figure it out with just what you where saying. Maybe it’s just me and I need to see what you meant.

      @JaimeBaseball 4 роки тому

      Hey Roberto, thanks for watching and the comment. Yep, not the best view. Wish I could’ve had a drone or the camera elevated and behind home. Maybe the picture of the Word doc at the end would help explain but if you have any questions or need help with something I’m happy to try and explain more brett.jaime@gmail.com. I still use a similar routine today but have tweaked things to make it a lot better. Take care!

    Nice video. Would you think it is ok to throw first before physical warm up?

    • @JaimeBaseball
      @JaimeBaseball 5 років тому

      It's probably okay if done rarely but I wouldn't make it a habit. Leaders in the arm care industry such as Driveline Baseball go through a very thorough process to get the body and arm warmed up prior to throwing.

    Great video, I enjoy the content of your channel. Question about attacking from above. Is the angle of the attack correlated more to the height of the pitch than the location (outside) of pitch? That is to say that your bat path matches the plane (height) of the pitch. Thanks

    • @JaimeBaseball
      @JaimeBaseball 5 років тому

      Hi Steve, thanks for the note. Attack angle or the plane of the barrel coming into the ball should always be somewhat consistent (7'-15' up usually). The greater variable is the amount of shoulder tilt the hitter has to create in order to have those attack angles on pitches that are in/out, up/down. The amount of shoulder tilt (and side bend or spine angle tilt) needed on a pitch low and away will be much greater than on a pitch up at the letters. Hope that helps. Happy to answer any questions I can!

    Is going past 120 feet recommended

    • @JaimeBaseball
      @JaimeBaseball 6 років тому

      Depending on the age, ability, health and other factors, moving beyond 120 is definitely recommended. I use 120' as a standard distance for my high school aged fielders in order to get them ready for that day's practice or game but this is not an arm strength or arm health program. It's a warm-up routine. Thanks for the question!

    Do you place an emphasis on hitters trying to strike a certain portion of the ball? Contact on bottom 1/3 of ball along with proper path leads to more line drives and fly balls. Do you feel that proper contact point on all is more a result of swing path?

    Great stuff coach! I just come across your videos and love the content. What are your thoughts on hitting against a firm/stiff front leg vs. having some degree of flex (knee bend) in the lead leg. I think Cory and Kyle Seager along with Cody Bellinger are examples of flex in front leg. The flex is slight at point of contact but their finish features definite flex. Thanks for the great content!

    How dare you not show me how to plug it in! I don't even know how to start this whole process now. I knew I had to press the reset button...it told me on the little green scoreboard screen, it had instructions on it. ALWAYS CHOOSE ENTER!! Don't get confused. Wow 23.6 seconds, what a tough one. Don't mess up the most on fouls! 2:39 it's your boy Logan Hanbayyy. Foul on #24! We know how to do rocket science now. LET THE CLOCK RUN DOWN!! BLOW THE HORN!!!! yeahhhhhhh!!!! Make sure to start the time out when you're supposed to. That awkward five seconds of silence at the end. AND THE MUSTANGS WIN WITH AN ASTOUNDING TWO POINTS!!!
